Introduction to Shamanism

Shamanism is a collective name for the spiritual systems used by most of the world’s tribal peoples. During this workshop, the philosophical background of shamanism will be explained and specific core shamanic techniques will be demonstrated and taught. Participants will begin exploring the spirit world (open to most people only through dream and myth) by embarking on their own inner shamanic journeys. They will have the opportunity to meet personal spirit teachers and power animals, and to step through doorways leading to personal wisdom, integration, healing, and service.

Drum and Journey Circle
Ongoing — 7 - 9:30pm, the third Saturday of every month

An opportunity for those with prior shamanic experience to further explore, the shamanic path, address personal concerns, and become more at home with journeying. There will also be songs, chanting and movement. Bring your own drums, rattles and sacred objects, and if you wish, a treat to share after the ritual work is completed. Please be prompt. The doors will be locked and no one admitted to the building after the circle convenes.
